میں نے سوچا تھا کے لوٹا دوں اب اس کی یاد بھی
پھر خیال آیا کہ میرے پاس کیا رہ جائے گا
mainay socha tha k lota doo ab uss ki yaad
phir khayaal aaya merey paas kia reh jaayega?
Iqbal - get into it
“Khudi ko kar bulund itna ke har taqdeer se pehle… Khuda bande se ye pooche, bata teri raza kya hai?”
“Raise your ‘self’ so high that before writing one’s fate, even the Lord will ask, “speak, what is your desire/what is it that you will be pleased with?”
Urdu poetry, man. Uff.
Khudi is commonly translated as “self”. Iqbal’s Khudi doesn’t simply mean “self”. I won’t go into clarification here as that requires a careful analysis of Iqbal’s philosophy by the reader. Just know that khudi is different than khudHi. KhudHi can be translated to “self”.
herez some JUNOON attached :)
Chalo… ishq nahi chahnay ki aadat hay
k kia karain humain aik doosray ki aadat hay!!
yunhi mosam ki ada dekh kar yaad aaya hai

Dil ki kia baat karain dil to hai naada jaana!!
Did you say Boston Marathon bombing? Here have a Karachi election day Bomb blast!!! This is almost a daily occurrence in the biggest city of Pakistan.
Mind you, so called “tehreek e taliban pakistan” did not exist before the US invasion of Afghanistan!!
Working towards the TIPPING POINT!
ANTI GOVERNMENT PROTESTS
JUST SOME IMAGES FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD. From India to Argentina. From Azerbaijan to Pakistan. From Syria, Yemen, Iraq to China. People are dissatisfied with their governments and tired of being oppressed by internal and external forces. We are working towards a tipping point as a global nation. When that happens, God protect us all.
BODY BAG DEMOCRACY!
“Moderate Muslims” are not doing enough in the face of “extremists” and their “terrorist” activities. This is a very common sentence that appears way more than it should and is necessary.
I have placed above words in quotations because they are widely used in the media without an absolute definition. These words are used in different context depending on who is utilizing them in their piece to best fit their narrative.
Last 10 or so years of my life, Muslims and Islam have been on the defense at the mercy of the West and their media. All blogospheres explode and twitter lights itself on fire every-time something happens and the perpetrator claims/or happens to be part of the Muslim community. The fact of the matter is, Us, the so called “Moderate Muslims” should stay quite. At least as quite as when New Orleans mothers day parade gets shot at or over a thousand people “accidentally” die in a crumbling factory building in Bangladesh.
We, the Muslims, don’t have to go out of our way to explain that Islam doesn’t permit killing of innocents. We don’t have to defend ANYTHING. If someone is ignorant, which is not the case if you look at the media, it is their responsibility to learn and understand. Spreading lies and disinformation is a job that the media is used for throughout recent history.
We DO NOT have to go out of our way to “feel” sorry for Boston. We do not have to go out of our way to NOT “feel” sorry for Boston. In fact, We don’t owe THEM anything. Since they are perpetuating the US vs. THEM, WE DON’T OWE THEM ANYTHING!
Carry on…move along!
i think i belong on wordpress more than Tumblr :l
Need to find a way to seamlessly integrate the two. any ideas?
No escape from the mass mind rape
Play it again jack and then rewind the tape
Play it again and again and again
Until ya mind is locked in
Believin’ all the lies that they are tellin’ ya
Buying all the products that they are selling ya
They say jump
Ya say how high
Ya brain dead
Ya gotta fuckin’ bullet in your head
